ABDOMINAL ETCHING

Abdominal etching is a liposuction technique that removes and sculpts the fatty tissue residing under the skin. This procedure accentuates the abdomen muscles and the linea alba, resulting in a masculine contour and enhancing the appearance of the muscles, specially the divisions of the Rectus abdominis muscle (commonly known as six pack muscle) and the Obliques muscle. What does recovery look like?

Recovery depends on the combination of procedures used to contour the male body. Commonly, after the procedure, dressings or bandages will be applied to the areas of incision. Compression garments must be worn during recovery to minimize swelling and support the targeted areas as they heal. A drainage system will be inserted near the incisions in order to drain excess blood or fluid that may collect. Dr. Campos-Leon will provide more details about aftercare following the procedures.
