Hand Rejuvenation

Hand rejuvenation is a set of procedures designed to return a youthful look to the hands. These treatments restore the appearance and feel of a smooth hand. Fat grafting or fillers are used to give back volume and smooth out the texture of hollowness. 

Skin resurfacing through CO2 laser evens out the pigmentation of the skin due to sunspots and aging as well as smoothes out the wrinkles in the skin.

What is recovery like?

Dermal fillers and fat grafting in the hand area typically only cause discomfort, swelling, and in some cases slight bruising. These symptoms last up to a week after the procedure. Usual movement may be limited and rest is advised. In case of laser resurfacing, the skin might appear red or pink for up to several weeks. 

Direct sun exposure must be avoided until healing is complete to prevent irregular pigmentation. Dr. Campos-Leon will provide more details about aftercare following the procedure.
